Fuzz
In relation to my independent collection of fuzz effects pedals, I have provided below for your viewing interest, particular selections which I deem as having two points of value : potentially collectible + great vintage TONE.
Transistors
Regarding fuzz effects pedals, it all begins with an antiquated electronic circuit component called, the transistor; which is largely responsible for creating their overall sound. For example, connoisseurs of the original vintage fuzz, treble boosters, and overdrives are most interested in particular types of transistors (i.e., germanium) that are no longer being produced—and therefore, have become rare.
Product Recognition
Many major artists of the Psychedelic and Classic Rock eras had relied upon fuzz effects pedals to help craft their signature sound. That said, most of the units pictured in this gallery are each identified with a world-renown celebrity guitarist, which adds to their collectible value—players whom, I give mention to as part of a generalized historical reference in my self-authored eBook series, ‘Electric Guitar Effects : Fuzz Pedals’. Later . . I will offer for sale Part 1 of a series of self-authored eBooks, in relation to fuzz effects pedals; subsequently, also offering additional volumes regarding other effects types—boost, overdrive, distortion, etc—all via my private, independent collection. Moreover, these tomes of tone will include audio examples, color images, (in most cases) close-up circuit views, and generalized spec. information.
