What exactly, is “tone” referring to within the guitar community? The answer :Vintage Marshall Amplifier inspiring musical sound (which is a subjective opinion). Guitar tone can arrive from a variety of sources, including that of one’s own fingers! For example, every guitar player has their unique touch upon the strings—ultimately, derivative from his/ her emotions. Obviously, gear choice plays a major role as well. In a relative sense, something seemingly “insignificant” can have a dramatic affect on musical TONE—such as a slight boost, or cut in EQ/ equalization. Generally, electric guitarists are continuously searching to “perfect” their overall sound.
